Ätherium [BETA]

This game is rather untested, so please don't hesitate to give feedback!

Ätherium is a one-page RPG. 

• It is set in a high-fantasy world inspired by games like "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", but it can be easily used with any fantasy world.
• Character creation is done in seconds, rules are easy to explain, and the whole system is very narrative-driven. 
  • For each action – including combat– players assign dice results to Qualities, and they have to gauge whether they want an action to be safe, successful, high-quality etc. 
  • Magic spells are custom-built from simple effects that are warped and expanded through magical ingredients to build any effect players can think of.
  • These results in turn inspire creative descriptions, driving the story forward.

If you are looking for an approachable, simple fantasy RPG with lots of room for creativity, this might be the right game for you! Ätherium is also easy to expand with your own content. All character growth is done via treasures that build on the same system of Qualities.

The game is available in English and German, both in a digitally readable, and a printable pamphlet version.
